Tech billionaire Elon Musk, who is now heading DOGE, an important department of US President Donald Trump’s government, had a heated argument with Poland’s Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorsky. The matter is related to the Starlink service in Ukraine. Musk had claimed that if he stops the Starlink service in Ukraine, the Ukrainian army will not be able to stand against Russia. Musk got so furious that he told Sikorsky – you keep quiet, little man.
On March 9, Sikorsky suggested that Poland could look for other options for Ukraine if Musk’s satellite service proved unreliable. Musk retorted, “Shut up little guy. You only pay a small cost and there is no alternative to Starlink!”
Musk’s claims on Ukraine
Musk claimed that without Starlink, Ukraine’s entire frontline would collapse, as Russia could jam all other communication networks. He also clarified that “no matter how much I disagree with Ukraine policy, Starlink will never be shut down.”
Rubio supports Musk
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio defended Musk, saying, “Poland should be thankful, because if it weren’t for Starlink, Russia would have reached Poland’s borders by now.”
US and Ukraine to hold talks on March 11
Meanwhile, US officials indicated that if peace talks between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky succeed, the US could resume providing military aid and intelligence to Ukraine. US and Ukrainian representatives are scheduled to meet in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on March 11, where a possible ceasefire will be discussed.
