Trump called Putin; Russian President invited him to Moscow

US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call on Wednesday. A statement has been issued by Russia stating that Putin has invited Trump to come to Moscow. At the same time, Trump has said that the time has come to stop the deaths in the war in Ukraine. It is worth noting that Trump has said on many occasions that if he were the President of America at that time, this war would never have started. Giving information on this conversation, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin and Trump discussed the Middle East, bilateral relations, the ongoing war in Ukraine and the exchange of prisoners between the US and Russia. Peskov said, “The Russian President has invited the US President to visit Moscow and expressed readiness to discuss those areas of mutual interest.” He further said, “Putin and Trump have also agreed to continue personal contact, they can also talk face to face.”

At the same time, Trump told on his social media site Truth that he plans to call Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday to inform him about the conversation. Trump wrote, “We want to stop the deaths in the war between Russia and Ukraine. President Putin also used my very strong motto, ‘Common Sense’. We both strongly believe in this. We also agreed to visit each other’s countries.”
