Apple has introduced the iPhone 16e, a refined and more expensive version of its most affordable iPhone, aiming to expand access to its latest artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The announcement, made on Wednesday, marks a significant upgrade to Apple’s budget-friendly smartphone lineup.
The iPhone 16e is the fourth generation of Apple’s lower-priced iPhone series, which was previously branded as the iPhone SE. The last model in this line was released in 2022.
Similar to the premium iPhone 16 models launched in September, the iPhone 16e features an advanced processor designed to support AI-powered capabilities. These include real-time text and audio summarization, automatic emoji creation, and an enhanced Siri experience. Additionally, the device boasts a more powerful battery and an improved camera, making it a compelling option for users seeking a balance between affordability and cutting-edge technology.
