Hockey India Announces Record ₹12 Crore Prize Pool for Annual Awards

Hockey India has unveiled a record-breaking prize pool of ₹12 crore for its seventh Annual Awards, set to take place on Saturday. A total of 32 players have been nominated across eight categories to honor the best performances of the 2024 season.

A key highlight of the event is the prestigious Balbir Singh Sr Award for Player of the Year, which will recognize the top male and female hockey players.

Emerging talents will also be celebrated, with the Jugraj Singh Award for Upcoming Player of the Year (Men) and the Asunta Lakra Award for Upcoming Player of the Year (Women) acknowledging young athletes who have made a significant impact.

The grand ceremony aims to reward excellence in Indian hockey and inspire future generations of players.
