“Turning Dreams Into Reel Life—Rabinder Parasher Lights Up New Jersey’s Film Horizon”

New Jersey is set to witness a groundbreaking development in its cultural landscape as acclaimed Indian filmmaker Rabinder Parasher takes bold steps toward establishing a parallel film industry in the state. With a strong commitment to community engagement, Parasher envisions creating meaningful opportunities for local talent—both actors and technicians—without requiring them to relocate to pursue a career in cinema.
As the first major initiative toward this vision, Parasher has completed production on an American comedy film titled Brilliant Idea. The project, shot entirely in New Jersey, was produced in two languages—Hindi and English—and brought together more than 35 local actors and over 20 crew members, all based in the region. This unique approach highlights Parasher’s dedication to nurturing and showcasing homegrown talent.
The Hindi version of Brilliant Idea is slated for worldwide theatrical release on October 17, 2025, coinciding with the festive occasion of Diwali. The English version will follow later in the year with a release during the Christmas season.
“This is just the beginning—New Jersey has the potential to become a global hub for filmmaking,” said Rabinder Parasher.
