Top-ranked tennis player Jannik Sinner has agreed to a three-month ban in a settlement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), ending a case that has been “hanging over me” since he tested positive for doping nearly a year ago. WADA had initially sought a one-year suspension for the three-time Grand Slam champion after challenging a decision by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA), which ruled that Sinner’s positive test for a banned anabolic steroid in March was due to accidental contamination and did not warrant a suspension.
