Team India has a golden opportunity to become champions in the Champions Trophy

The countdown for the Champions Trophy has begun. The tournament is set to begin on February 19 on the soil of Pakistan and UAE. Team India is being considered a strong contender for the title. However, the Indian team will be without its main fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah in this mega event. Along with this, the team management is definitely a bit stressed about the form of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Meanwhile, former Indian captain Dilip Vengsarkar believes that there is no need to worry about the form of Rohit and Kohli and both of them are big match players. Along with this, he said that Team India has a golden opportunity to become champions this time.

No tension about Kohli-Rohit
Former Indian selector Vengsarkar while talking to Times of India said, “Rohit and Kohli are big match players and they will perform brilliantly in big matches. The opposition team also knows this very well, so the presence of both of them in the team is very important. Kohli and Rohit can make a big difference. I believe that the bigger the opportunity, the stronger these two batsmen will perform. India has a golden opportunity to win the Champions Trophy.

Masterstroke will work in Dubai.
Dilip Vengsarkar said that having more all-rounders in the team will benefit the Indian team a lot in Dubai. He said, “There are not more than five spinners, these are all-rounders who can bat and bowl both. The presence of all-rounders in the team will make the batting longer, which will be beneficial in Dubai where the conditions will be like in India. All-rounders are very important and we have good options. I just want to see how Varun performs in ODIs. He has adapted to the T20 format at home but in ODIs you have to bowl 10 overs.
