There is a tight police guard below the hotel, the pictures of which are going viral on social media. In the pictures, it can be seen that people are seen pleading for help from inside the hotel. It is written on the posters, ‘Please help us’ and ‘We are not safe.’
On this, the officials say that 40 percent of the detained immigrants are still not ready to go back to their country. It has been decided to keep these people in this hotel until the US government sends them back to their country
People from which countries are included?
According to media reports, most of these 300 immigrants are from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Vietnam and Iran. America is facing some problems in the deportation process in some of these countries. These people will stay in this hotel until all the problems are resolved.
‘In our custody for safety’
On this, Panama’s Security Minister Frank Abrego’s statement came out. In which he said that these people are not being deprived of their freedom, rather we have taken them into custody for their own safety. Abrego further said that everyone is being given proper medical help and food and water under the migration agreement.

According to the Department of Homeland Security report of April 2024, about 2.2 lakh illegal Indians currently live in the US.
