On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna presented the state budget for the 2025-26 financial year in the State Assembly, outlining an ambitious expenditure plan of Rs 8.08 lakh crore.
The budget aims to address the needs of various sections of society, including the poor, middle class, farmers, women, youth, and the general public.In line with fulfilling electoral promises, the budget introduced several new initiatives. One of the highlights is the allocation of Rs 400 crore for the Rani Laxmibai Scooty Yojana, which will provide scooters to eligible girls pursuing higher education.
