Indian student Nilam Shinde, 35, is battling for her life in a US hospital after being struck by a car on February 14. A resident of Satara, Maharashtra, she suffered severe fractures and injuries to her chest and head following the accident in California.

The Accident:
- The incident occurred at Fair Oaks Blvd and Cadillac Dr, Sacramento, just before 7 PM.
- It was a hit-and-run collision, leaving Nilam in a coma ever since.
- Her family was informed two days later and, after several urgent appeals, received a US visa to visit her.
