US President Donald Trump has given clear indications that he has now decided to deal with Russia instead of Ukraine. He said that he can completely trust Vladimir Putin. Trump said that it is easier to deal with Russia than Ukraine. Donald Trump wanted to do a mineral deal with Ukraine. At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky demanded that he should get security in return for the deal. During Zelensky’s visit to America, there was a heated argument between the two leaders in the Oval House regarding this matter. After this, Zelensky left without eating food. Donald Trump also completely banned military aid to Ukraine. At the same time, he is leaving no stone unturned to sideline Ukraine.
Donald Trump said during a press conference, Ukraine does not have cards. In such a situation, it is very difficult to deal with it. Rather, it is easy to deal with Russia. Let us tell you that a day earlier, Donald Trump had also threatened Russia with tariffs and sanctions. After the bombing of Ukraine’s energy centers, Donald Trump had said that both Russia and Ukraine should immediately come to the negotiating table or else Russia will have to face tariffs and sanctions. Trump also defended Russia’s attack and said, I think Putin is doing what anyone else would have done in his place.
Threatened Ukraine
Donald Trump said that he has had a good relationship with Putin and he wants the war to end. He said, I think Putin has become more humble and kind than before. This has many meanings and it is good for everyone. Donald Trump again threatened Ukraine by saying that there is a threat looming over them and America does not want to have any involvement. Trump said that if Ukraine wants to settle down, we also do not want to interfere. Let them do whatever they want to do, I just want that there should be no deaths.
Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo termed the heated debate between US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office (office of the US President) as unfortunate. He said, “I cannot say for sure. This is different from the first term. The first six weeks have been noisy. President Trump has come to this term with a deeper understanding, more preparation.”
