Zelenskyy Calls for European Army Amid Security Concerns
Munich: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged Europe to establish its own armed forces in response to Russia’s military buildup, according to Politico.
Speaking at the Munich Security Conference (MSC), Zelenskyy expressed concerns over the possibility of the United States refusing to support Europe on critical security matters.
“I firmly believe the time has come for Europe to create its own military,” Zelenskyy stated. “Let’s be honest—right now, we cannot rule out the possibility that America might say ‘no’ to Europe on issues that threaten it.”
Do we still remember what international law is? Let’s be honest, the phrase “international law” already sounds a bit outdated. But I believe that Europe’s mission is to ensure that international law still matters.

According to Politico, Zelenskyy emphasized the need for a unified European foreign and defense policy to demonstrate to the U.S. that the continent is serious about its security.
“Europe has all the necessary resources,” he said. “It just needs to come together and act decisively so that no one can dismiss it, dictate terms, or treat it as a pushover.”
